How do I activate plugins for my blog?

The following article explains how to active a plugin for your blog. A number of plugins are installed by default when your blog is first created. To use each plugin you will need to log into the admin section and activate the plugin.

Note: Certain plugins require code to be entered into the theme layout.

To activate a plugin, please follow these steps:

1. Open a browser window and access your blog using one of the following URLS:
   • http://blog.domainname.com/wp-login.php
   • http://domainname.com/wp-login.php (blog-only hosting plan customers)
   
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Click Login.
4. From the menu, click Plugins.
5. Find the plugin you wish to activate in the list.
6. Read the description for the plugin and follow the instructions when necessary.
7. Click Activate.
