How do I manage the PHP settings for a site?

The following article explains how to manage the PHP settings for your site.

There are 4 PHP settings you can manage:

• PHP Version: choose the version of PHP for your site
• Registered Globals: when enabled, this option allows you to pass variables from one page to another through the URL. This can be a security risk as PHP does not require variables to be declared and the information used in the URL can be changed manually. This option is disabled by default.
• Safe Mode: when enabled, this option prevents PHP scripts from accessing resources outside of the root websites folder. This option is enabled by default as your site is running in a shared hosting environment.
• Display Errors: when enabled, this option displays debugging information about your website including error messages, paths to files, and variable information. This option is disabled by default.

To manage the PHP settings for your site, please follow these steps:

1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
2. Click on Control Panel Login.
3. Log into the Control Panel as one of the following:
   • Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain
   • Technical Contact for the domain
4. Click on Apache and select PHP Settings.
5. Click the button associated with the option you wish to update.
