Password Requirements for Hosted Exchange and Hosted SharePoint users

When creating an Exchange mailbox or SharePoint user, the following requirements must be met when selecting a password. The password requirements have been put in place to ensure a secure password is created, protecting the email and content of you and your customers.

Password Requirements

For a password to be valid, it must meet the following requirements:

• Contain at least 1 lower case character
• Contain at least 1 upper case character
• Contain at least 1 number
• Between 8 and 16 characters
• May contain special characters but not required
