How can I make a test purchase using a test credit card?

The following article explains how to make a test credit card purchase. This is done to see if the payment gateway is configured correctly for the MIVA Merchant store. If your payment gateway has a test mode, it is recommended to place your store in the test mode during any test.

To place an order with a test credit card, please follow these steps:

1. Open your storefront in a web browser located at http://domainname.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc
2. Select a product and add it to your shopping basket.
3. Enter the checkout process.
4. Select Visa as the payment method.
5. Enter 4111111111111111 (one 4 followed by 15 ones) and a valid expiration date.
6. Finish the checkout process.

You should see a confirmation message that your order was successful. If the order was not successful, you will need to review the error message and make any necessary changes.
